Niagara News reported on students in the Broadcasting and Journalism programs who had the chance to work in a professional setting on Oct. 21, partnering with the Niagara Dailies to cover the federal election, the second collaboration of it’s kind.
Program coordinator of the Journalism program, Charles Kopun, explains that the experiential learning opportunity is great exposure for students.
Grant LaFleche, reporter for the St. Catharines Standard, explains that the partnership allowed the news outlet to produce a show they couldn’t do otherwise, “and do it at a high level.”
