Education News Canada shared the news release from NC about a new sustainability and NCSAC joint-initiative: the Mug Share program. Staff and students can now borrow a mug instead of using a single-use cup with their coffee purchase at The Shack at the Welland Campus and The Undergrounds at the NOTL Campus. Students will receive an incentive for bringing their own reusable mug, and beginning in November, a discount on hot beverage items served in a reusable mug.
Amber Schmucker, sustainability program and outreach coordinator, explains that the program will reduce waste going to the landfill.
