On September 20, The Niagara Falls Review and The St. Catharines Standard wrote about Niagara filmmaker and faculty in the School of Media Studies, Christopher Bessette, who won Best Screenplay at the Canadian International Faith & Family Film Festival. Bessette is also an NC alumnus, graduating in 1984.
Bessette’s screenplay for the epic series Prophets & Kings – based on King Ahab, Queen Jezebel and other characters in the biblical texts of Kings I and II- was inspired by “this age of digital television.” Bessette has 30 one-hour episodes in the works.
Bessette hopes to give viewers a different perspective on faith-based film and television.
