The Niagara College community is invited to join NC’s Student Administrative Council for a fundraising BBQ at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus on Sept. 26. The BBQ will be held in the Courtyard of the Armoury student pub from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or while supplies last, and all proceeds will go directly to the Canadian Red Cross Bahamas Relief Fund to benefit those affected by Hurricane Dorian.

Guests can enjoy a burger, hotdog or veggie burger with chips and a drink for only $5. NCSAC will also accept additional donations to the Relief Fund at the event.

“Niagara College has a very diverse student population representing approximately 90 countries, with many of those students calling the Bahamas home,” said NCSAC president Tom Price. “NCSAC has been approached by numerous Bahamian students with regards to support for their family and friends impacted by the devastation of hurricane Dorian. The NCSAC Bahama relief BBQ fundraiser highlights our commitment to support not only our student community, but our local, and international communities as well. All proceeds raised will go to Red Cross relief efforts providing much needed aid such as health care, shelter relief, and emotional support.”
