Brock Weir with The Auroran wrote about the Canadian Food and Wine Institute (CFWI) at Niagara College and their plans to be present at the historic Aurora Armoury in downtown Aurora. Once revitalization efforts are complete – slated for later this fall – the CFWI will deliver a full roster of classes, courses and related programs that will be housed inside the historic building, fit with modern amenities and containing the original wood beams.

Weir interviews the CFWI dean Craig Youdale, who explains that NC’s presence in Aurora is a first for Aurora and new territory for the College. Youdale says, “It is a new opportunity, it is a new style of bringing education to a region and a town,” and that College staff are excited for the grand opening. Youdale explains that businesses, groups, organizations and citizens have all been consulted for their input on the project which will offer great versatility.

Youdale says the space will have something for everyone in the community, from a break-making class to a VIP dinner or wedding event.
