Tom Mrakas, mayor of Aurora, wrote an opinion piece for Yorkregion.com in which he describes the progress made on the restoration of Aurora’s historic armoury in which Niagara College’s Canadian Food and Wine Institute (CFWI) will have a presence.

The armoury, located in the downtown historic area of Aurora, is being revitalized to attract tourism, enhance the quality of life for residents, and expand cultural resources for the community. The 89 Mosley St. location – a former military drill shed – will become a world-class training facility and community space with an NC look and feel. Professional training for businesses and students in commercial brewing, viticulture and the culinary arts will be housed in the space.
