Studies have shown that students are more engaged in learning about topics that are relevant to their own lives, are presented on their terms, and that provide simple strategies they can relate to. CampusWell is a resource developed for students to help them be proactive in their own wellness.

Used by over 500 educational institutions in North America, the online magazine features well-written weekly articles that are research-based and tailored to students’ needs as they navigate their post-secondary journey. Past articles are moved to a continuously-available archive.

The magazine is customizable by each institution to include information about their own wellness-related events and initiatives. Our Niagara College publication is sponsored and administered by the Health, Wellness & Accessibility Services department. It also includes a Student Advocate blog designed for administrators, faculty and other staff so that they can stay informed about the latest developments in student wellness.

All staff are encouraged to read the blog, and to provide students with information about the CampusWell magazine. College departments are welcome to submit information about upcoming student wellness activities and initiatives for posting – please contact Erica Jurus, ejurus@niagaracollege, ext. 4985, for details and submission guidelines.
