September-start students can get a kickstart on college life this summer, through NC’s pre-orientation program.
KickSTART is once again on deck to run at the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses in August. The program offers students a sneak peek at college life to help ease their transition. In small group settings, students have the opportunity to gain information about their academic program, an overview of student services, and details about supports and involvement options available for them. KickSTART 2019 will also include work integrated learning information as part of the academic advising session.
KickSTART offers students a chance to tour the campus and become more comfortable prior to their first day of class.
With more students on campus who are unfamiliar with the College on KickSTART dates, staff and faculty are encouraged to wear Ask Me buttons so they may be easily identifiable to new students who wish to ask them for help or directions. Ask Me buttons will be available in W115 (NOTL) and SE101 (Welland) beginning July 1.
