Mountain Life Media shared the story of NC alumnus and avid downhill mountain biker Alex Rose (Winter 2015 grad) who has been employed as a hydraulic mechanical designer in Collingwood since graduating from NC’s Mechanical Engineering Technology program.
Rose explains that his employer Medatech made the trip to Niagara to interview him during his final exams of the program. Rose had employment lined up before graduating, making the move from his home and cycling community in Welland to Collingwood where he found a new community of mountain bikers.
Rose has married his love for technology and design with his love for downhill mountain biking. Rose enjoys the process of designing, assembly, testing, and engineering support to customers in his role at Medatech. Nowadays, Rose competes in Blue Mountain Tuesday downhill races every Tuesday.
