Today, the annual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Student Satisfaction Survey period began at Niagara College, and colleges across Ontario.
The provincially mandated survey will be administered Feb. 4-15 to all students except those in the first term of their program. The survey measures satisfaction in four key areas of student life: programs, learning experiences, facilities and services.
As you know, our place among the top tier of colleges in student satisfaction has been a hallmark of Niagara College. In fact, in last year’s survey, Niagara ranked first among midsize Ontario colleges for student satisfaction, and tied for third overall. The survey has also shown that our graduates get jobs, and that employers find our graduates well prepared for the workplace.
I would like to extend my thanks to faculty for accommodating the survey during valuable class time. The KPI Student Satisfaction Survey is an important continuous improvement tool that helps us ensure that our programs and services continue to evolve along with the needs and expectations of students. Many initiatives and enhancements in recent years have been driven at least in part by the results of the student satisfaction survey.
I would also like to thank Maria Vandelaar and the team of KPI survey administrators for their important work over the next two weeks.
The results of this year’s survey will be released in April. If you have any questions regarding the survey, please contact Katerina Gonzalez, director, Planning and Institutional Research at ext. 7120.
