A message from the Niagara College Student Administrative Council:
Sure, we just got through an incredibly hot summer. One that broke records! Well, the people who predicted the heat, are now predicting a very cold and powerful winter.
For the students who can’t afford a winter coat, mitts, scarves or sweaters, this is going to be a very tough winter to get to school.
Your NCSAC is organizing the Your Winter Coat drive. We will be collecting the following items:
- Toques;
- Winter Jackets;
- Mittens/ gloves;
- Scarves; and
- Sweaters.
If you’re donating, could you please ensure that the items are gently used, without rips, broken zippers or missing buttons. If you could, please bring these donations to the NCSAC office at your campus (NOTL Campus: N003, Welland Campus: SA205) starting now!
We will begin releasing the items out to the students starting mid-October so that they’re ready for the winter! This drive will end on November 30.
Any items that aren’t distributed to students will be donated to a local charity.
