Pelham Today: Niagara College renames campus courtyard in honour of $4M legacy gift from Norris Walker family

On June 3, Pelham Today, Thorold Today and the NOTL Local shared NC’s announcement of a transformative $4-million bequest from the estate of long-time supporter Norris Woodruff Walker–the largest estate gift in the College’s history.

The landmark donation, which honours Norris Walker’s enduring legacy of service and philanthropy, was unveiled during a special announcement on June 2 at NC’s Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake. As a lasting tribute to the Norris Walker family, the College officially renamed the central campus courtyard the Norris Walker Family Community Courtyard, marked by a commemorative plaque.
