Help empower young girls in sport and recreation by volunteering at Welland Girls Sports Day on Saturday, June 7.
We’re still looking for volunteers to support this fun, free community event that introduces girls ages 6 to 12 to a variety of sports in a supportive and engaging environment. From softball to wheelchair basketball, it is an unforgettable day for both participants and volunteers!
Location and time: Saturday, June 7 at the Empire Sportsplex from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteer roles are available between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., including:
- Activity Lead
- Nutrition Provider
- Button Making Station
- Registration & Information/Sports Equipment Distribution
- Registration Walkers
- Parking Lot Attendant
- Sport Station Assistants
- Parent Hub Support
- Floater
- Clean-Up Crew
No experience needed: Volunteers will receive training (virtual and on-site), a special event t-shirt, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.
