It’s the perfect time for College employees to experience life on two wheels!
Part Time Studies is offering a special Intro to Motorcycle training session exclusively for all Niagara College employees (full- and part-time) at a discounted rate of 50% the regular price.
This is the first time this offer has been available to NC employees. Jessica Berecz, Associate Director, Workforce Development and Community Partnerships, said the initiative aims to help generate awareness about the program and introduce it to the NC community.
“It’s a fun and engaging way to explore the College’s Motorcycle Training programs, meet the instructors, and experience the thrill of motorcycling,” said Berecz. “This is your chance to try something new, connect with colleagues, and ride into the weekend in true NC style. Whether you’ve always wanted to try motorcycling, are just curious, or you’re just looking for a fun way to kick off the weekend, this evening event is for you.
The class will be held on Friday, May 23 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Welland Campus.
The session does not require a license or bike. Participants are asked to wear abrasion-resistant clothing and bring an approved helmet {view NC Riding Gear Requirements ) along with their NC spirit!
Berecz noted that the class offers an introduction to handling and maneuvering a bike and it is always recommended as a first step to anyone considering the full-weekend Basic Rider course. Registration for the Basic Rider course requires an M1 license and the course provides the M1 exit test at the end of the weekend (if successful, riders leave with their M2 license).
“Those who take the Intro to Motorcycle course first have a much higher success rate at their M1 Exit test than those who jump right into the Basic Rider Course,” said Berecz.
