From February 18 – March 1 the Libraries and Learning Commons will be refreshing the library shelving, which will impact the access to the physical collection at both campuses.
What this means:
- There will be no access to the physical collection (Books and DVDs) between Feb. 18 to March 1.
- Physical materials borrowed on Feb. 14 will have an extended return date to March 3.
- There will be additional noise and activity in the Library and Learning Commons during the two-week service disruption.
- Ear plugs will be available at the library service desk at the Welland Campus.
- The Quiet study room will be available at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
What is still available?
- Reserves and equipment will still be available to borrow via the library’s main desk (regular borrowing timelines will be in place for these items).
- You will still be able to ask questions in-person and online at the library service desk, conduct research online using Online Resources and Program Guides, Book a Study Space and use the Exploratory.
- All other services, including Academic Drop In, Peer Tutoring, and Test Centre will be available during this time.
Additional impacts at the Welland Campus:
- The Peer Tutoring room will be unavailable. Alternatives will be communicated to Peer Tutors.
- Academic Drop-in will be held in SE 124; this room will be unavailable for booking.
