On December 23, the three Niagara dailies (Niagara Falls Review, St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune) announced that Niagara College’s Research and Innovation team has earned a consecutive No. 1 ranking for research funding among Canadian colleges.
The article highlights that this is the third time in five years Niagara College has been ranked No. 1 and the 10th year in a row it has been in the top 10 by Research Infosource Inc.
President Sean Kennedy is quoted in the article: “It’s incredibly exciting and we’re very, very proud. One of the things that is so important for us is always to ensure that we’re supporting the growth and development of local industry and at the same time supporting the growth and learning of all students — and No. 1 in Canada in applied research ranking really speaks to both of those.”
