The NOTL Local reported that NC is among five Niagara organizations collectively receiving more than $80,000 through the 2026/27 Invasive Phragmites Control Fund to support invasive species management across the region.
The funding will support efforts to control invasive phragmites, which can reduce biodiversity, damage wildlife habitat and affect drainage infrastructure.
