BPSN released a Sept. 28 Niagara College sports report, including highlights from the Knights men’s and women’s soccer teams, golf program and Athletes of the Week.
Top highlights include:
- The Knights men’s soccer team remained undefeated in OCAA play with a 4-2 victory over Sheridan. Miguel Martin scored three goals in 15 minutes, while Anthony Hendriks added another for the Knights.
- The Knights women’s soccer team earned a 2-2 draw against Sheridan, with Grace Gray and Aneisha Gobbels each scoring for Niagara.
- Niagara’s men’s golf team placed fifth at the Georgian Invitational, led by Spencer Main, who finished 16th with a score of 83. Hazel Templeman placed eighth in the women’s competition with a 97.
- Soccer players Aneisha Gobbels and Juan Plata were named Niagara College Athletes of the Week. Gobbels recorded three goals and an assist in the Knights’ 11-0 victory over Lambton, while Plata was recognized for his leadership and defensive play.
