YourTV aired a feature on Niagara College’s 2026 Gala, held March 28 at Fallsview Casino Resort. The segment highlights how funds raised will support the College’s new Health Education building and 25 student scholarships, including six new awards established this year.
Niagara College President Sean Kennedy is interviewed, reflecting on the College’s culture and accomplishments.
“I am honoured to be president of a college that is so full of creative, dedicated and passionate people who are fulfilling one of our core values every day by being trailblazing, while also demonstrating our values of being student-focused, welcoming and passionate,” he said. “We’re so proud of what we’re accomplishing and how we’re distinguishing ourselves on the international stage.”
The segment also features Julia Enns, Program Coordinator for the Social Media Management program, who discusses the hands-on role students played in capturing content throughout the evening.
“Our students have learned social media strategy, writing and content creation to prepare them for today’s industry, and I’m really excited to see them interacting with our guests and getting to capture the scene and the story of everything happening at the Gala.”
Culinary Management student Flora Fofouyan also spoke about the value of experiential learning.
“Every moment of this program has been hands-on and practical. We learned the theory alongside practical experience, so when you can put everything you’ve learned onto a plate, that means a lot.”
