Niagara College, in partnership with the City of Welland, is seeking volunteers for this year’s Welland Girls Sports Day.
The annual event introduces girls aged 6 to 12 to a variety of sports in a supportive, hands-on environment led by athletes, coaches, and community partners. Volunteers play a key role in supporting activities, welcoming participants, and ensuring the day runs smoothly.
This is a great opportunity to help young girls stay active, try new sports, and build confidence in a supportive environment. Join us for a fun-filled day and make a meaningful impact in your community.

Volunteer info
Whether you’re leading activities or supporting behind the scenes, your role will directly contribute to a positive and memorable day supporting girls in sport.
All volunteers are required to attend an in-person training session on June 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Welland Campus Wellness Lounge to review roles and event logistics.
Volunteers can expect a fast-paced and fun, outdoor environment. A volunteer t-shirt will be provided. Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and bring a reusable water bottle.
Volunteer roles may include:
- Activity and sport station support
- Registration and information desk
- Equipment distribution
- Parent Hub support
- Floaters and general event support
- Set-up and clean-up
No previous experience is required.
NC Students: Co-Curricular Record (CCR) Credit
NC students may be eligible to submit their volunteer hours toward Co-Curricular Record (CCR) credit, offering an opportunity to gain experience while supporting a community-focused initiative.
