Welland Tribune coverage of Asahi Kasei’s $1.56-billion battery separator plant in Port Colborne highlighted NC’s role in workforce development for the facility.

The company has partnered with NC and Brock University to help develop curriculum and programs aimed at training employees with the mechatronic and technical skill sets needed for the plant’s operations. This collaboration factored into Asahi Kasei’s decision to locate in the Niagara region at NC’s Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre.
