A message from Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Libraries and Learning Commons, and Student Engagement:
We’re inviting Black students and employees who are artists to share their visual art as a part of Niagara College’s Black History Month activities this February.
This is an opportunity to showcase the brilliance and diversity of Black artistry through visual art, photography and written words (i.e., poetry) that reflect the past, present and futures of Black experiences and excellence.
Artists will have their work featured in our Black History Month art exhibition located at the Libraries and Learning Commons at the Welland Campus. The theme of the exhibition is Honouring our Past, Inspiring Our Futures. Please stay tuned for more information on how to view the exhibit
Let’s celebrate and amplify Black voices, creativity and stories, this month, and every month.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the submission form. Submissions are due by January 28.
Student Engagement has a limited amount of art supplies for students who need them, including canvases, acrylic paint, and paint brushes. Please email Student Engagement.
The art exhibition is hosted in partnership with the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Libraries and Learning Commons and Student Engagement teams.
If you have any questions please reach out to the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion team at [email protected].
