This holiday season, nine students from Niagara College’s Advanced Law Enforcement and Investigation (ALEI) Graduate Certificate program in the School of Justice and Fitness turned inspiration into action by organizing and running a food and toy drive in support of Niagara Village of Hope, a non-profit charity based in Lincoln, Ontario.
Motivated by a shared desire to give back to the community they serve and protect, the ALEI students collaborated to plan, promote and execute the initiative from start to finish. Their goal was simple but powerful: to help ensure local families have access to essential food items and bring joy to children during the holiday season.

Niagara Village of Hope serves communities across the Niagara Region, including Beamsville, Jordan, Vineland and Campden. The organization is dedicated to fighting food insecurity while providing holistic community support through its food bank, thrift store, community garden and empowerment programs
The ALEI students collected non-perishable food items and toys to help Niagara Village of Hope continue its mission during one of the busiest and most challenging times of the year. As demand for food bank services increases during the holidays, contributions like these play a vital role in supporting individuals and families across the region.
The nine ALEI students hope their efforts inspire others to look for ways to give back, not only during the holiday season but throughout the year. Their initiative stands as a reminder that meaningful community impact can begin with a small group of dedicated individuals choosing to make a difference.
