The York Press highlighted a new international collaboration between York-based agri-tech company AgriSound and NC, aimed at advancing pollinator conservation and student research.
Through a year-long pilot project, AgriSound will deploy its technology across three biodiversity sites at NC. The data collected will help researchers and students better understand and protect local pollinator populations.
The article notes that NC is widely recognized for embedding sustainability within its environmental programming, including habitat restoration initiatives and student-led biodiversity research.
This partnership will provide the College with critical, data-driven insights into pollinator health, a global concern, as an estimated 35 per cent of pollinator species face the risk of extinction.
