Niagara Now recently highlighted the Taste of the Season Pass, which invites participants to explore Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country during the holiday season and visit participating wineries for festive, holiday-inspired food and wine pairings.
The article notes that it’s not only professional wineries taking part and that NC’s Teaching Winery is also featured in the lineup. As part of the event, the Teaching Winery offered a butternut squash soup with pumpkin seed granola, paired with the 2021 Balance barrel-fermented Chardonnay. The piece also acknowledges the Teaching Winery’s history, noting that it opened in 2000 as Canada’s first commercial teaching winery and continues to operate as a non-profit learning environment for future winemakers.
