Niagara Now recently highlighted the Taste of the Season Pass, which invites participants to explore Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country during the holiday season and visit participating wineries for festive, holiday-inspired food and wine pairings.

As part of the event, the Teaching Winery offered a butternut squash soup with pumpkin seed granola, paired with the 2021 Balance barrel-fermented Chardonnay. The piece also acknowledges the Teaching Winery’s history, noting that it opened in 2000 as Canada’s first commercial teaching winery and continues to operate as a non-profit learning environment for future winemakers.
