A message from NC Cares 2025 Co-Chairs Leah Neamtu and Nimisha Sumathi:
Co-chairing the United Way Campaign together for the first time makes this year especially meaningful. Having worked alongside each other on past campaigns, we’ve built a great partnership and share the same passion for giving back. We’ve also seen firsthand the difference United Way makes — from packing hygiene kits at The Hope Centre to supporting countless organizations across Niagara.
Our NC Cares campaign continues a proud tradition of supporting United Way Niagara and the vital programs it provides across our region. As we launch this year’s campaign, we’re reminded that community has always been the heart of who we are at NC. Whether through donating, volunteering or simply spreading the word, every act of support can help make a difference. Together, we can continue to care for our community by helping individuals and families who need it most.
SAVE THE DATE – Launch of NC Cares in a United Way Workplace Campaign!
Mark your calendars: This year’s United Way workplace campaign kicks off Wednesday, November 12. Our goal of $50,000 reflects our continued commitment to strengthening NC’s impact across our local community.
Starting Wednesday, November 12, there are two easy ways to give online:
- Payroll deduction via NC’s payroll portal (Options for one-time or recurring donation)
- Credit card via United Way’s payment portal (Select My Gift is Part of a Workplace Campaign)
This year’s workplace campaign will wrap up on December 16, 2025, and we look forward to celebrating the impact of our NC community together.
NC & United Way Niagara
Niagara College is proud of its long history of joining community partners in support of United Way Niagara’s annual campaign. United Way Niagara exists to support the most vulnerable people in our community, ensuring that life-changing programs remain accessible for youth, families, and adults facing difficult times. In 2024, United Way Niagara impacted the lives of more than 100,000 people across our region. From safe housing to food security and mental health supports, every dollar raised helped someone in need.
