Niagara Now: NC Horticulture professor honoured for role in Chautauqua Oaks Project

Niagara Now published a story about a new plaque unveiled to honour the volunteers behind the Chautauqua Oaks Project, a seven-year initiative that preserved and renewed one of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s most distinctive treescapes.

Among those recognized was NC Horticulture professor Mary Jane Clark, who was honoured for “her personal attention and awe-inspiring dedication that resulted in an entire forest of oaks being grown from our acorns.” Clark is also featured in a photograph taken at the celebration in Chautauqua Park.
