Reasons behind a series of pistachio recalls may be a tough nut to crack, but CTV News turned to the expertise of NC Culinary Innovation and Food Technology Professor Amy Proulx, PhD.

A former inspector with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Proulx discussed the reasons behind the multiple recalls of pistachios and products containing the nuts in a CTV News article: Why are pistachios at the centre of so many recalls.

A video clip of Proulx, which was captured via video chat from the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake, was also included with the article.
