College operations for the upcoming Civic Holiday

Niagara College will be closed on Monday, August 4 for the Civic Holiday. Please review the below list of operating hours for services and enterprises over the long weekend.

Wine Visitor + Education Centre (Wine VEC): The Wine VEC retail store, patio and indoor service will remain open with regular hours from Sunday to Wednesday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please note, the Wine VEC will be closed on Friday, August 1 at 2 p.m. for a private event.

Campus Access: The Welland Campus and Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake exterior doors will be locked on Monday August 4 and will reopen on Tuesday August 5 at 6 a.m. Should you require access to either Campus, you must contact Security 905-735-2211 ext. 6999 or email [email protected]. Access to either facility will be at the discretion of Security, or as previously approved/communicated.

Academic Advising & Career Services: Academic Advising & Career Services at both campuses will be closed on Monday, August 4.

Athletics & Recreation: Both campus fitness centres and gymnasiums will be closed from Saturday, August 2 to Monday, August 4 and will resume with regular hours of operation on Tuesday, August 5.

Benchmark: Benchmark will be closed on Monday, August 4 and will re-open with regular hours of operation on Tuesday, August 5 at 11:30 a.m.

Community Employment Services: Community Employment Services will be closed on Monday, August 4.

Enrolment Services: Enrolment Services, including all in-person, online and phone services, will be closed on Monday, August 4.

Food & Ancillary Services:

NCSAC cafes, The Shack (Welland Campus) and The Undergrounds (Daniel J. Patterson Campus) will be closed on Monday, August 4.

Health, Wellness and Accessibility Services (HWAS): HWAS will be closed on Monday, August 4.  Students looking for support can also access the following resources:

COAST Niagara / Mental Health and Addiction Help Line
COAST provides services to people in the Niagara Region who are in crisis and have a mental health concern. Ongoing telephone support and/or referral to appropriate follow-up services may be recommended to prevent further crisis.

Good2Talk is a free, province-wide service for students in college/university and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Student Rights and Responsibilities Office (SRRO): SRRO will be closed on Monday, August 4.

Teaching Greenhouse: The Teaching Greenhouse will be closed from Saturday, August 2 to Monday, August 4 and will re-open with regular hours on Tuesday, August 5.

Teaching Salon & Pavilion: The NC Teaching Salon and Pavilion will be closed on Monday, August 4.
