VoyageMIA recently featured Sheila Gutierrez (Environmental Management and Assessment program, 2021) in its Portraits of Miami interview series, which highlights inspiring stories from individuals in and around the Miami area.
In the interview, Sheila shares her journey to Canada, where she began her career as a Community Garden Coordinator and pursued further education through NC’s Environmental Management and Assessment program. She also trained as a new farmer with the Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario (EFAO).
