Cambridge Today spotlighted Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management alumnus Scott Pautler (2013) following Wave Maker’s silver medal win at the Canadian Brewing Awards. The award was earned in the Belgian Dubbel, Dark Strong, and Quadrupel category for the brewery’s Cloister Quadrupel, a rich, high-alcohol beer style traditionally brewed by monks in Belgium and across Europe.

The article highlights that Pautler, originally on a path to become an accountant, discovered his passion for brewing while still studying. He later enrolled in NC’s Brewmaster program from 2011 to 2013, starting out in the industry by boxing cans. After returning to his hometown of Cambridge in 2017, he opened Wave Maker Craft Brewery 2019.
