A message from Pam Skinner, Senior Vice-President, College Operations:

With the Walk just over a week away, the $10,000 goal for the Posse is within reach, and I expect will be surpassed, thanks to the many generous donors and those who have been fundraising within their network to support their participation.

Requesting RSVP for the Walk, and the BBQ

A special donor is providing a free after-walk BBQ at The Armoury student pub at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake,135 Taylor Road, just minutes from the Walk site.

Meet the team at the NC Life flag.

Please RSVP by Monday June 2 to confirm that you and any family and cheerleaders that may accompany you, will be attending the walk and/or BBQ please email [email protected].

What to expect at the Walk

The gathering point for the walk is at the St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre Lock 3 – 1932 Welland Canals Parkway, St. Catharines, ON L2R 7K6.

When you arrive at the site please visit the registration table where the ALS society will have a limited supply of T-shirts for the walkers. There will be entertainment, water and snacks as people gather before speeches at 10

a.m. with the walk starting immediately after. The walk is a 5-kilometer round trip. For those with limited mobility, doing only part of the walk is not uncommon.

Please RSVP as soon as possible and no later than June 2 to let us know if you and other supporters (family, friends) are attending the Walk and/or the BBQ so that we can have sufficient goodies for all!

Look for the NC Life flags as the Posse gathering spot in advance of the walk. If you have a cowboy hat – wear it to the Walk to fit our Posse theme! We’ll have some extras to hand out!

With much gratitude and anticipating an exciting day on June 7.

Pam
