The three Niagara dailies (Niagara Falls Review, St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune) announced that NC’s Vice-President of Research, Innovation and Strategic Enterprises, Marc Nantel, has received national recognition for his contributions to Canadian innovation policy and as a leader in the community. Nantel won the Trailblazer Award at the 2024 Canadian Science Policy Centre Conference in Ottawa last month.

Nantel is quoted from NC’s news release, saying he was honoured to receive the award and that the recognition is “not just a reflection of my work, but of the incredible support, collaboration and vision of collective advocacy of the whole college community.”

“To those who nominated me, thank you for believing in the power of applied research and innovation. This is a shared achievement, and I’m excited to continue with my colleagues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in our sector,” he said.
