The Highlander published an article on the Minden and District Horticultural Society’s event, which hosted over 120 gardeners from 17 Ontario horticultural societies to conduct business and discuss plants.
The article highlights Niagara College’s Horticulture and Environmental Professor Paul Zammit, who participated as a keynote speaker. He challenged his audience to rethink what is beautiful and learn to work with the garden.
Zammit’s speech is quoted in the article: “People come to gardens for more than just pretty plants. They come to relax, to meditate, to photograph insects, and to engage in lifelong learning.”
