A message from Dr. Chris McGrath, Vice-President Students: Thank you for making NC shine at Fall Open House

This past Saturday, Niagara College welcomed thousands of prospective students and their supporters to our campuses for Fall Open House.

President Kennedy and I were both energized by the event, at a time when outreach and recruitment is important as ever – and we want to thank you for your commitment both to our prospective and current students, and to our graduates and their success.

This being my first Open House, I was blown away by the energy and passion that was evident across the College. It was remarkable to witness our entire college community coming together to showcase what we all believe in — in ways that I have never seen in my entire career. From the “College 101” sessions to the school information sessions, open labs and expanded tours, you showcased what #ncLIFE is all about and I’m incredibly proud to be part of an organization where we come together to connect prospective students to their own potential.

With the leadership of our Marketing + Student Recruitment team, our Academic Schools and Student Service teams, NCSAC and our College Operations teams came together to make sure our campuses and our people shone in the sunlight… literally. I can’t say that I’ve ever seen such wide engagement in helping prospective students to see themselves in the possibilities of an NC education. Who we are as NC could be felt everywhere, and it was most fully expressed in the teams of student leaders and ambassadors who brought their personality to #ncLIFE.

I have no doubt that we can maintain the marvelous momentum from our Fall Open Houses to keep moving forward at a time when we face uncertainty amidst many changes in the postsecondary system this year. But when I see this community come together the way it did on Saturday, I am tremendously optimistic for the future because of a shared commitment to double down on our core purpose to enrich lives and fulfill dreams.

Thank you for all that you do to make NC shine.
