Staffing update: School of Academic and Liberal Studies welcomes Nicole Redmond as new Academic Portfolio Manager

A message from David Atherton, Dean of Academic and Liberal Studies:

I am pleased to welcome Nicole Redmond as the new Academic Portfolio Manager in the Academic and Liberal Studies Division.

Nicole holds a Masters of Education in Teaching, Learning & Development from Brock University, along with a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies and Critical Theory and a Bachelor of Arts, English & Theatre/Film from McMaster University.

Prior to joining NC, Nicole was the Student Skills Development Coordinator at Brock University as well as an instructor in the Faculty of Education department. She was responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction, coordinating programs and leading curriculum development for English as a Second Language and Academic Skills courses and programming at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, Nicole worked as an Education Developer at McMaster University and has held lead roles in student success at Mohawk College.

With over 15 years in education, including work in both the college and university sectors, along with almost a decade of experience providing instructional and professional support to educators, we are excited to have Nicole join the Academic & Liberal Studies division. Nicole will support both the Daniel J. Patterson and Welland Campus.

Nicole will begin her role on September 30, 2024.
