Staff and faculty at both Niagara College Campuses spent their lunch at LauNCh on August 28, reconnecting with their colleagues ahead of the start of the Fall Term.

The announcement of a Niagara College brand refresh and an update on the revitalization projects taking place at both college campuses were among the highlights President Sean Kennedy brought to employees at Fall LauNCh on Aug. 28.

The event is an end-of-summer tradition that brings together returning and new employees to reconnect over lunch before classes start on Sept. 4.

With the fall semester only a few days away, President Kennedy said the excitement was “palpable.”

The College will welcome 10,000 full-time students in September, including 4,500 entering their first semester– a testament to the commitment, creativity and hard work of NC staff, he said, noting that this year’s cohort of domestic students is the largest since 2019.

President Kennedy also highlighted Build NC, the College’s robust plan to expand and renovate its campuses to improve the student experience at NC. He explained that employees can expect plenty of construction and renovation work as the College invests in program expansion spaces, new facilities for students, and more on-campus housing.

These projects keep moving NC forward on its Strategic Plan priorities. President Kennedy said that our commitment to continuous improvement is the key to our success.

President Kennedy unveiled Niagara College’s new brand to employees, noting that it is a reflection of the evolution of the College and how its brand is represented.

The NC team will gather again next week in the hallways and around campus to welcome students to the Fall 2024 Term.
