The Hamilton Spectator, the three Niagara dailies (Niagara Falls Review, St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune) and Niagara this Week reported on Dispatch restaurant in St. Catharines recently unveiled “Mazagran”, a canned drink that combines the taste of cold brewed coffee and lemonade.
Jake Mach, a manager of Dispatch is quoted in the article mentioning the partnership with NC’s Research & Innovation department to develop the drink: ““Working with Niagara College‘s innovation department, we have redeveloped the recipe to be pasteurized and shelf stable as we upped the scale (of production) and brought the cost down a little bit.”
Mach also mentioned that the first batch of Mazagran was designed, produced and canned at the college’s Niagara-on-the-Lake campus.
