A message from Craig Youdale, Dean, Culinary, Tourism and Beverage Studies:
We are thrilled to announce that Elisabetta (Isa) Mottiar has been appointed as a Full-Time Professor in our School of Culinary Arts.
Isa, an accomplished chef and educator, brings over 25 years of culinary expertise to Niagara College’s Culinary Arts Program. She has been teaching at NC part-time for the past five years and has been an integral part of Niagara’s culinary landscape for nearly 30 years.
Her tenure at Niagara College has been a source of inspiration, allowing Isa to engage closely with professors and students while continuing her own educational journey. She previously enriched her teaching credentials by obtaining a Certificate of Adult Education from Brock University.
Most of the NC community knows Isa for her leadership at Good Earth Food and Wine Company since 2008, however, her impressive career includes a variety of roles in the industry. Isa has honed her culinary skills in some of Niagara’s most renowned kitchens, including Hillebrand, Vineland Estates, and Inn On The Twenty. Her diverse experiences also include serving as Chef of the Canadian Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago and managing Flat Rock Cellars.
We are confident that our students will benefit greatly from her mentorship for many years to come.
Isa will assume her new role on August 26.
Please join me in welcoming Chef Isa to our full-time team.
