On March 12 YourTV released a segment on NC’s Brewmaster & Brewery Operations Management students who celebrated International Women’s Day by brewing four blends of Pink Boots beers in support of women in the beer industry.
In the segment, reporter Brenda Schultz visits the NC Teaching Brewery to learn about students’ recipe development and watching them perform the brewing process.
Brewmaster & Brewery Operations Management program instructor Nicola Davey is interviewed in the segment highlighting that “for a lot of these young [female students], its their first opportunity to create a commercial beer.”
Brewmaster students are also interviewed throughout the segment describing the brewing process they took part in. Student Aidan Hole touches on integrating a fruity kick to the “Knock Your Boorts Off! fruited Belgian Blonde beer, while student Cath Lear is showcased brewing a hazy IPA, aiming to create hoppy aromas and flavours attributed to the IPA beer.
