NOTL Local: NC business students support survey to assess seniors’ housing needs

The NOTL Local reported on a survey used to quantify Niagara-on-the-Lake residents’ needs for housing as they age.

The survey was designed by local research professionals, who, along with a group of community volunteers, think that NOTL seniors looking at appropriate options as they downsize may not find what they need in town, despite a desire to stay in their community.

The article highlights that NC School of Business Management Studies Professor Nick Farnell and his graduate students helped shape survey questions into an online tool. The article also notes that after survey results come out, NC students will still be involved by incorporating data with their program and using the data in their work.

“They will do their own analysis on this in regards to understanding how the survey results show what is happening with people. It will give them a good building block to learn from,” said Michael Ennamorato, a creator of the survey.
