On January 11, radio station Giant FM released a segment announcing that NC’s Fitness and Health students are offering free personal training.
As part of their Personal Training course curriculum, and under the supervision of college faculty, second-year students will be offering free personal fitness education and counseling, pre- and post-fitness evaluations, as well as weekly exercise programming and supervision, which would usually be about a $700 value.
School of Justice & Fitness Professor Michael Hart is interviewed in the segment highlighting that around 25 students will be taking part in the initiative in 2024, which he says “…is a great way to apply what they’ve learned in class.”
