On December 16, the three Niagara dailies (St. Catharines Standard, Niagara Falls Review and Welland Tribune) announced that for the second time in less than five years, Niagara College has secured the top spot for colleges in Canada for research funding, according to a report released by Canada’s Innovation Leaders, from Research Infosource Inc. The article also highlights it is the ninth year in a row Niagara College has been named among the top ten colleges.

Marc Nantel, Vice-President, Research, Innovation and Strategic Enterprises is quoted in the article: “It’s really good for the reputation of the college to be acknowledged as the No. 1 research college in Canada. It helps us put ourselves out there as a medium-sized college in a small region of Ontario. It’s good to be recognized in ways that attract people’s attention to the quality of what we do at the college.”
