I hope everyone is enjoying the Fall term so far and enjoyed our Niagara Day celebrations.

I am excited to announce that this afternoon we will be launching the annual Program Experience Survey (PES).

This 5-minute survey will be sent to all eligible students beyond the first term of their current program and will include a chance for students to win one of 100 $15 e-gift cards from EverythingCard – NC’s approved third-party e-gift card distributor.

I’m counting on you – our amazing NC faculty and staff – to encourage participation among students!

New this year: Get ready for a fun competition! You will have an opportunity to monitor response rates for your academic program(s) and compete for the title of “Most Responsive Area”:

  • The three highest-performing programs will be eligible for exclusive rewards. This includes one winner from each of the small, medium, and large program categories.
  • Each winning program will be awarded $100 cash to allocate towards student engagement activities of their choice, which could include a pizza party, snack fest, or any other suitable event.

The PES is incredibly valuable in helping us align our NC programs with the evolving needs and preferences of students. Their feedback helps us to evaluate program quality, assess student perceptions, and inform our continuous improvement and program review efforts. The survey asks students to evaluate:

  • Essential employability skills
  • Vocational learning outcomes
  • Course electives

I hope you will help NC to engage students in participating in the survey and contribute to our shared pursuit of excellence.

Planning and Institutional Research will oversee administration of the survey. The College community may view more information on the survey, survey instrument, and survey incentive on the respective PES FAQ webpage.

Please refer any students who have questions to the following resources:

Staff and faculty who have questions about the survey are asked to contact Planning and Institutional Research’s Director: Katerina Gonzalez at [email protected].

Thank you,
Fiona Allan
