As part of an ongoing effort to support hands-on student learning, the NC Teaching Greenhouse at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake is upgrading climate controls and renovating some of the environmental equipment in the building.

While this work is being completed through the fall, the greenhouse will remain operational and product sales will continue, however access will be limited to students and employees who need to enter the building for labs. All other students and employees are asked to avoid entering the building at this time.

For customers, the retail area has been moved outside to the greenhouse patio, where a range of products are available for purchase in support of student learning. Current retail hours are Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fall mum sales begin August 28.

Renovations are expected to be complete by the end of September and an update around access will be provided.
