A message from Leigh Cunningham, Senior Director, Libraries and Academic Support Services:
It is with mixed emotions that I announce the departure of Shari Walsh, Director, Academic Advising and Career Services, Welland Campus. Shari’s last day is August 18, 2023. I’m pleased to share that Shari will be staying within the college system and will be starting a new position this fall at Conestoga College.
Shari joined Niagara College in 2019 and has led an evolving portfolio including Student Leadership and Engagement, Academic Advising, Co-op and Career Services. She has advanced core advising initiatives at the college, including Beacon and the Student Strengths Inventory (SSI), and synthesizing student success and retention data for the SEM working groups, KickSTART and most recently the new Academic Success Series programs for incoming students.
Please join me in saying farewell to Shari and wishing her all the best in her new endeavors.
