On June 28, the three Niagara dailies (the St. Catharines Standard, Niagara Falls Review and Welland Tribune) and Niagara this Week announced that Niagara College is embarking on a drive to add housing for 1,000 students, split between its campus in Welland and the Daniel J. Patterson campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The move is being made to address a growing shortage of housing for students and when completed over the next four years.

President Kennedy is quoted in the article: “Our plans support the key priorities in our Strategic Plan and reflect our enrolment growth and the evolving needs and expectations of our students.”
