A message from Craig Youdale, Dean, Culinary, Tourism and Beverage Studies:

On June 30, our dedicated Chef Professor Bob Demers is retiring after nearly three decades of teaching at Niagara College.

During his time at NC, Bob was always known as a cherished professor among students. Whether demonstrated through NCSAC Favourite Professor votes, course feedback, or overhearing conversations through the NC hallways, students constantly expressed their appreciation and admiration for Chef Bob.

I will never forget the first time I met Bob as he met me in my office with a huge smile on his face, eager to share his knowledge and help students grow their skills. Being the new person in a sea of intimidating chefs, Bob was always so positive and engaging that he immediately fit in with the NC family.

Bob will always be remembered for his dedication, support, and mentorship he provided each and every one of his students at NC.

Though Bob’s time at NC has come to an end, I know his legacy will live on and he will be greatly missed by staff and students alike.

Thank you, Bob.
