NC students are brewing up an event that promises to be a summer twist on a Bavarian beer festival tradition.

Final term students from the Brewmaster Brewery Operations Management program will host Project Brew Augtoberfest on August 11 inspired by the world’s largest beer festival, Octoberfest, which is held annually in Munich, Germany and celebrated around the world.

Project Brew is a student beer festival hosted each term by the graduating class of NC Brewmaster students who plan the event to showcase their student-crafted Project Brew beers.

Guests can enjoy NC student-made brews in the ‘Biergarten’ as well as food from NC’s School of Culinary Arts, and vote for their favourite beer which will decide the winner of the People’s Choice Award.

Project Brew Augtoberfest will be held on August 11 from 5-9 p.m. at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The event will be held outdoors (weather permitting).

Guests are encouraged to get into the festive spirit of the event by wearing Bavarian attire.

Ticket prices are $20 plus taxes and Eventbrite fees. Must be at least 19 years old to participate. Ticket price includes four beer tokens and a beer glass. Additional tokens are available for purchase, $2 per token.
