On June 16, the Toronto Star and St. Catharines Standard released an article on the eighth annual Niagara Region Soccer Showcase that showcases high school soccer players in the region.
The article highlights that many players from the men’s and women’s soccer at the College take part in the event as do students in NC’s Broadcast, Radio, Film and Television, Sports Management and Recruiting programs.
Frank DeChellis, head coach of the Knights men’s soccer team is quoted in the article: “Without collaboration with partners within Niagara College, the local media and Youngs Sportsplex, the task would be too big to manage. It’s a great way for us to recognize the local high schools and soccer community for being such important partners of Niagara College.”
